Think about the lush green valleys in the lap of the mountains. Yonder you will find one of the most beautiful coastal scenes in the world. This is what the green Spain has to offer you. Certainly, there can not be anything greener and more soothing than that.

Asturias, aka green Spain, is perhaps the most beautiful part of Spain. This region is famous for its beautiful landscapes and mesmerizing scenic beauty. In fact, it is this serenity that makes Asturias such a tourist hotspot. Thousands of tourists flock in here to enjoy the very best that nature has in store for them.

In keeping with the pressure of the tourists, the region has plenty of villas, country cottages, apartments, city centers, and farmhouses. In fact, the holiday rentals here have some unique features that make it even more enjoyable to live in this part of the world.

In short, Asturias has something for every one. If you are a lover of the exotic beaches, you can go to Playa de Ballota. Added to the vast beach there, you will also like the local market and delicious foods there. The place also offers a vibrant night life with its bars and cafes.

Again, if you love to watch the wonder of the nature, Parque Natural de Somiedo is there for you. This natural reserve has an unbelievable variety of flora and fauna that will sustain your wonder. In fact, you can find the migrating birds here as well. In fact, this is one reason why many tourists visit this sanctuary.

Asturias has something for you if you are a big fan of sports and adventure. There are plenty of activities that the place offers. So, you can enjoy sea surfing, skiing, dolphin and shark watching, underwater swimming, snorkeling, fishing, parachute riding, paragliding and scuba driving. Apart from that, you can always spend the time sunbathing in the beaches.

If you are a fan of golf, Asturias will offer some unique golf courses. Added to the enjoyment of playing the game, the golf courses here offer some breathtaking view of the sea, landscapes and mountains. Some of the golf courses also offer holiday apartments that the golfers can rent.

If shopping is something that gives you a lot of pleasure, there are plenty of shopping malls, market and retail outlets there in Asturias. So, you can just go out there and watch the market even if you have nothing to buy. However, the local foods are good and you can buy some of them. Also, you will find different beautiful home made products there in the market.

The night life in Asturias is as vibrant as one of the best centers of the world. You will find different traditional restaurants and cafes in towns and villages. However, if you move towards the larger towns, the night life gets more vibrant. There are plenty of hotels in the region, so don’t worry about the accommodation there. However the best place to stay is Hotel Casa de Campo that is located in Celorio, a rural village near Cangas de Onis and very close to Mar Cantabrico’s beaches. It’s ideal place of rest for those travelers who want to enjoy the kindness of the Green Asturian Coast.

It is really not easy to say what defines a lovely experience of North India. The first view of the attractive hill stations captivates your sight spontaneously. North India warmly invites you to come and travel around its supernatural and magnetic locales, monuments, cultural customs and religious traditions. Enjoy camel safaris on the golden deserts of Rajasthan, North India, and stay at the grand heritage hotels and emulate the royal lifestyle of a Maharaja. You will be enjoying stimulating mountain treks on the Himalayan foothills and marvel at the modern amenities and evolution in the principal Indian metropolitan cities and pulsating wildlife safaris as well to visit some of the most holy Indian pilgrimages. To take participation in the unique and colorful fairs and festivals or shopping in the bustling markets would give you unforgettable memories. Tour in North India, a visit to any of its intentions is a great experience in itself as each of its destinations is covered with water with a diversity of magnetisms.

Jammu and Kashmir is the epitome of natural beauty, the overwhelming hill stations of Himachal Pradesh are hit the most by honeymooners of all over the world, Rajasthan is the pride of its eye-catching palaces and forts, Delhi impresses with its historic spots, Uttaranchal is perfect for adventure sports, Madhya Pradesh invites you to have the experience of its wilderness and of course the architectural wonders of Uttar Pradesh are waiting to leave you captivated.

The Golden Triangle Tour of North India is one of the most well-liked tours presented by the travel companies in India. This tour is one of the most excellent tours of India that is liked by all visitors. However, the best time to visit these cities is during the cooler weather excluding the months of August to February, but it can be intended any time of the year. It covers up the whole entourage of North India counting a visit to the famous Taj Mahal. This tour includes the three most important cities of India – Delhi, Jaipur and city of Taj Agra.

It inspires and entrances that onlooker with its splendor and glory. Now it its time to talk about Jaipur established by Maharaja Jai Singh II, in Rajasthan, North India tour that was carefully planned by a famous Bengali architect of those times. This unique desert city is called pink city which is divided into nine parts apparently representative of the nine divisions of the Universe. You will find the glory of hawa mahal, amar court and city palace and list goes on in Jaipur All the monuments still behold their old attraction and beauty as they all are fresh

In South Africa, we call it winter, the temperatures in the Eastern Cape drop to a daily average of around 26 degrees c, at night around 13 with the early mornings sometimes as low as perhaps seven degrees on occasions, a friend of mine who often holidays away from his London flat says to me “and you call this winter!”….

Today, as I write from this wonderful winter holiday destination, a vicious cold front is moving through, it reached as low as seven degrees this morning and now, at mid day it is only 13,5. Let’s think about this for a moment, this is a cold spell, in other parts of the world one cannot leave one’s pet outside for more than fifteen minutes or it will die. Next winter, the 2010 soccer world cup, the largest sport event in the world will bring thousands of travel visitors to South Africa. Are they panicking about temperatures, please don’t – I have watched telly and seen them play football in the UK and Europe in slushy left over snow, we call it mud! South Africa is a stunning winter destination.

Maybe a little longer in bed, take along an extra jersey just in case and enjoy the warmth of your hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation as you travel around South Africa, from Cape Town to Johannesburg, Port Alfred, Knysna, Durban to Port Elizabeth as you follow your team during the competition. Perhaps rent a holiday home to use as a base from which to travel.

Whilst camping and out door living might not be great at this time, this form of accommodation however will take you to some wonderful and interesting places. Visitors to South Africa have many other accommodation options, from self catering to luxury Hotels, browse around our recommended accommodation site http://www.staysa.co.za and check out the many bed options across all types and budgets.

A top for travel tip in winter is that wherever you go, pack a knee rug and an old fashioned hot water bottle that you can fill in the evenings and take it along to bed with you, the knee rug is warm if chilly air hits an open game viewing vehicle and it can double up as an extra blanket when you are sleeping.

Travel as little off the beaten track as you tour between soccer matches, as said, Winters are generally dry in South Africa, the exception perhaps being the Western Cape or Cape Town region, discuss your route and site seeing options with the owner of your accommodation establishment or travel agent. South Africans’ are proud of their country and will gladly assist any visitor.

South Africa is a wonderful winter destination, most international visitors head for the game parks in summer as they run from the European winters, whereas it’s actually in winter they should be visiting, animals are easier seen, the grass is shirted and they are often gathered around the waterholes.

Rancho Bernardo is a beautiful community in San Diego, California which is located north of Poway and south of Escondido. With it having great neighborhoods like Carmel Mountain Ranch, Sabre Springs and others, Rancho Bernardo has always been a popular choice for home buyers. So if you are looking for reasons to move to here, here are 7 to consider.

1. It is part of the award winning Poway Unified School District.

2. It has public golf courses like Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course and Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, beautiful parks (dog park too!) and scenic walking trails.

3. Location! You are only about a 20 to 25 minute drive to San Diego Downtown and beaches.

4. Convenient shopping and restaurants in such places like 4S Commons and Carmel Mountain Ranch Town Center located in the Rancho Bernardo community.

5. Looking to retire? Rancho Bernardo’s Seven Oaks and Oaks North are 55+ years old active adult retirement neighborhoods.

6. Convenient access to the I-15 freeway

7. You can buy old or new. With Rancho Bernardo being a big community, you can buy a Brand New home in neighborhoods like 4S Ranch or Del Sur or an older home in the established neighborhoods like Bernardo Heights or Carmel Mountain. It is always nice to have options.

Now, these are just of few reasons why Rancho Bernardo is a great community. I am sure I am missing a few more but these reasons should give you a really good idea why Rancho Bernardo.

Holidaying abroad can present several risks to health, but there are plenty of things that can be done before and during you holiday to prevent any serious health issues.

Food poisoning
Hygiene and sanitary standards can vary widely from country to country and from even from one restaurant or bar to another. In some places, particularly hot countries, there is a greater risk of food poisoning caused by inadequate refrigeration or water contamination. So, unless you are sure, it is wise to avoid consuming any of the following while abroad:

-water from the tap, including ice cubes
-fruit juice sold by street vendors
-ice cream
-shellfish
-any food containing eggs
-salads
-raw, or undercooked, meat
-prepared fruit
-mayonnaise
-sauces

It should be alright to consume any of the following, within reason:

-sealed bottled water from a recognisable brand
-cooked food – such as hot soup or stir fry
-sealed or canned food
-freshly baked bread
-unpeeled fruit
-hot drinks
-alcoholic drinks

Malaria

In many hot countries, particularly those near the equator, malaria, which is a fatal disease spread by mosquito bites, is a real health issue. Here are some handy hints to help protect yourself against the malarial threat:

Insect repellents are also a great way to prevent yourself from getting stung. Only use sprays that contain DEET (diethyltoluamide), as this chemical offers the greatest level of protection against mosquito bites. Use it every time you go out in a malaria-affected country, whatever the weather. Make sure that you have a good supply of it with you before you leave, and take a smaller bottle around with you on your travels, to top up your protection levels throughout the day.

It is important to take some kind of preventative anti-malaria medicine if you are going to be visiting a region that is known to have malaria-carrying mosquitoes. As soon as you know your travel itinerary, you should make an appointment with your doctor, as some anti-malarial drugs need to be taken up to a month before you travel to an affected country.

Unfortunately, some strains of malaria are completely resistant to all forms of preventative medicine, so it is important that you seek medical assistance as soon as you develop a fever, or an unexpected illness, while you are away. Even if you have been back from your holiday for a while, you could still develop symptoms from a bite several months earlier.

First aid

Pack a first aid kit containing insect spray, plasters, dressings, water purification tablets, diarrhoea remedies, and antiseptic. You can buy ready made kits from pharmacies that include all of the above, plus sealed and sterilised needles, syringes, and stitches as a precaution against having to use potentially unsanitary equipment in a country where the sterility of emergency medical equipment is not guaranteed.

When looking for something romantic to do in Georgia, one great weekend getaway is a trip to soulful Macon, Georgia to see its fun and vivacious nightlife. Macon, known for its rich musical history is the perfect place for couples to escape to, and if you are planning a romantic getaway for two, Macon is definitely deserving of being on your short list.

One of the best attractions Macon has to offer is the world famous Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Georgia counts among her musicians, the Allman Brothers Band, Ray Charles, R.E.M., James Brown, Little Richard, Alan Jackson and many more. The Hall of Fame features themed venues housing instruments, career and personal items, from numerous performers. Venues include: Gospel Chapel, Rhythm & Blues Revue, Skillet Licker Cafe, Gretsch Theater, Vintage Vinyl Record Store and more.

If sports is more your style check out the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and drive a Nascar simulator. Or for a shot of history, visit the Tubman African-American Museum.

Concert series and bands keep the Macon music scene jumping. There are jazz, rhythm and blues and country acts constantly moving through the many bars, night clubs and gathering spots in Macon’s busy entertainment section.
One of the most romantic and creative date ideas offered by Macon is the historic trolley tour that runs through the heart of the city. Come see the historic Cannonball House, or the birthplace of famous poet and singer, Sidney Lanier. If this doesn’t sound like what you’re after, simply walk the historic quarter for a romantic stroll and see the festive side of Georgia come alive.

Macon is home to beautiful countryside and sprawling meadows and forests complete with Civil War fortresses such as Fort Benjamin Hawkins and the Native American Ocmulgee National Monument & Indian Mounds. If you want something a little more indoors related, a romantic evening of music and fun can often be found at the Historic Douglass Theatre and the Macon Music Gallery.

Honestly, there are so many different places to visit that whether you are looking for an active, outdoor adventure or simply want to cuddle up in a traditional bed and breakfast, the city that Sherman couldn’t burn is more than willing to provide. Give the gift of romance in the form of a romantic getaway for two. Whether it’s a weekend romance you’re after, or your looking for a grand place for your anniversary celebrations, Macon, Georgia is the place to be.

Disneyland can be very expensive, so many people try to do what they can to save money when they are planning a vacation there. There are a number of ways that you can do this. One of them is through planning a road trip rather than flying since you can save a lot of money this way if you have a family.

Planning a road trip has never been easier now that there are so many tools out there online to help you with this. So what can you do to calculate how much you can spend and what kind of discount you need to keep your eye out for. You can use a website that gives you directions from place to place, but there are also websites that are meant for road trips that allow you to enter in the different places you would like to visit along the way, as well as where you would like to stay and even where you would like to eat, and then they give you a detailed itinerary with maps and directions. They will also recommend places if you are not sure where to stay, where to eat, or what to visit at a location.

One thing that can make a road trip easier is if there are frequent stops along the way to see something interesting and get out and move around a bit. You also want to make sure that you have things to do in order to keep entertained during the driving stretches of the trip. Car games can help a lot with this, and you can also get portable DVD players so passengers can watch videos.

You can also do your research ahead of time so you can get your Disneyland tickets at a discount, as well as getting good rates for the hotels where you plan to stay. It is easiest to do this online before you leave, though if you are not sure where you are going to stop each day you can just look up possible hotels along your route. This will give you a bit more flexibility. If you keep their numbers handy you can give a call and see who has vacancies without even pulling off the highway so you don’t waste time stopping at hotels with no rooms available. You might be able to convince them to give you a lower rate if they have a lot of vacancies when you call.
